HPI Challenge All Asia Finals 2009
The HPI Challenge All Asia Finals 2009 were held at the world famous Radio Controlled Speedway (RCS) Circuit in Bangkok, Thailand on the weekend of December 5th and 6th. Drivers gathered from, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand to win the HPI Challenge. A total six classes were held:
- Electric Powered Switch
- Electric Powered Cup Racer
- Electric Powered Formula Ten
- Electric Drift
- Electric Powered Pro
- Electric Powered Sport
After two rounds of qualifiers on Saturday, the racers prepared themselves for their finals on Sunday. They definitely did not disappoint the spectators as close racing was seen in all the classes.
Running on the new 4900mAh 34C 2S1P 7.4V Carbon Edition Prototype from Acorn Racing, Allister Lim (Singapore) managed a third position in the Electric Powered Sport class behind Thai racers Tanes M and Vittaya L.
