X Factory UK are extremely proud to officially announce that they have been appointed as the exclusive UK distributor for Exotek Racing products from the USA.
Exotek have some superb products within their range and are most noted for their chassis conversion sets. The chassis conversions are all of the highest quality and cater for electric vehicles such as 1:10 Touring Cars, 1:14 and 1:18 On Road cars and 1:18 Off Road Buggies and Trucks, catering for popular brands such as Associated, Losi, Xray, Robitronic, Carisma, Schumacher, Sportwerks, HPI, Hot Bodies and soon to include Tamiya too.
They also produce a nice range of specialist bodyshells, optional parts for many of the above brands, tyre truer accessories and Exotek apparel.
1:10 Scale LiPo Chassis conversions
The range of 1:10 LiPo chassis conversions is proving to be very popular with racers. Exotek have just secured double TQ at the recent prestigious 2010 DHI Cup ahead of a world class field. The meeting saw Christer Andersson and his Associated TC5 equipped with the TC5X conversion and flexi top deck in the modified class set TQ and finish as runner up. In the Stock class Alexander Stocker used the HBX conversion for his Hot Bodies Cyclone to TQ and win.
So what is an Exotek LiPo chassis conversion? Well each set consists of a flat Carbon Fibre chassis with NO cell cut outs for old style NIMH cells, which makes for a chassis that produces equal flex from left to right for more consistent handling. The LiPo battery is secured in with two laser cut weighted steel mounts to bring the weight back to similar as it was with NIMH cells in. The LiPo can then be secured with tape to the raised carbon fibre mounts provided or via an optional carbon fibre battery strap (sold separately).
Current cars that are catered for are the Associated TC5, Schumacher Mi3 or Mi3.5, Hot Bodies Cyclone, Xray T2’009, HPI Cup Racer and coming soon the Tamiya TRF416. Below are some of the cars that are catered for and their kit contents.

1:18 Scale Off Road Chassis Conversions
Quite possibly what Exotek are best known for, their excellent off road micro conversions. The range caters for mini cars from Associated and Losi, with 2wd, 4wd and Monster Truck kits all catered for.
Team Associated
The AE RC18B and RC18T are both catered for with the superb TEK18X and TEK18T 4wd conversion kits.

The TEK18X (above left) turns your RC18B or T into a miniature RC10 B44 with rear saddle mounted cells and a forward mounted motor. The kit is full of high quality carbon fibre and anodised aluminium components and instantly transforms your bog standard AE vehicle into a race spec machine.
The TEK18T (above centre) has been designed for use with today’s more popular stick pack mini LiPo cells, which run down the one side with your motor in the traditional place that it can be found in a standard AE car. However once more with high quality, aluminium, delrin and carbon fibre components this conversion transforms your plain car into to something very special (full kit contents of the TEK18T can be seen above right).

Team Losi
The Losi Mini-T series (Mini-T, Mini Desert Truck etc) and Mini LST series (LST, LST2 and Raminator etc) are all catered for with the superb MXT, MXB PRO and LXT conversion kits.

The MXT conversion (above) for the Losi Mini T replaces the stock chassis with a longer, sleeker and narrower version to increase the trucks wheelbase resulting in a vehicle that is more stable. It is also supplied with a carbon fibre top deck/battery mount and some rather cool alloy machined servo mounts to allow a wide selection of servos to be installed.

The MXB PRO is an awesome full carbon fibre chassis conversion for the Losi Mini-T to turn into a replica mini 2wd buggy. Supplied with carbon parts such as the chassis, battery strap, rear bulkhead brace and multi layered front upper assembly. The kit comes with alloy servo mounts, a clear lexan body and wing, full high quality hex hardware set and wing mounting kit.
It is available in two versions, the original MXB PRO which is the 190mm wheelbase version and as an exclusive to the UK – a MXB PRO UK Spec featuring a shortened 180mm chassis and matching battery strap to comply with current BRCA dimension rules and regs.
