Acorn Racing 5500mAh 36C 2S1P 7.4V LiPo

After a lengthy development period, the 5500mAh 36C 2S1P 7.4V Carbon Edition LiPo from Acorn Racing is finally out! With fellow racers’ and enthusiasts in mind, Acorn Racing Team and their fellow engineers understand that everyone will want a LiPo that is powerful yet legal for all types of races.

After much research and testing with drivers and fellow professional engineers, these long awaited LiPos are finally out. Prioritising the terms and conditions set by International R/C Organisations like ROAR, IFMAR, EFRA, BRCA…etc., in the making and design, safety factors were not forgotten and these cells are being tested for UN38.3 certification.

With all the thoughts and rules during the design and construction, Acorn have developed these new Lipos for all racers! All Acorn Race Type LiPos are housed in a crash proof plastic case and produce 30% more run time and weighs 40% less than traditional NiCd and NiMh batteries. These 5500mAh cells are made in 2S1P configurations which allows proper balancing and charging. This is the first batch of prototypes that was made and sent to our distributors.

The final version will be featured in 2 to 3 weeks time following ROAR approval. They have a small dimension prototype that does not require shimming for the approval right now. Please stay tuned for the release of the final version upon ROAR’s approval!
