LRP & Ronald Völker Wins 1:12 In Germany
With only a few months left before the World Championship in taking place in Germany and with this years Worlds also being run at an indoor carpet track, over 60 of Germany´s best 1:12 drivers such as Ronald Völker and Marc Rheinard entered for the event, promising the spectators a weekend of world-class racing action.
LRP entered the event with full force and the best of LRP´s 1:12 on-road drivers. LRP factory drivers such as Ronald Völker, Markus Mobers and Daniel Sieber among many other LRP drivers were full supported at the event by LRP team manager Reto König. New for the event and causing a lot of attention was the new LRP Pulsar Touch Competition charger. Shown to public for the first time at the LRP TCM in March, this was the first time it was used for a complete event by our LRP factory driver Ronald Völker.
After qualification was finished it was multiple European A-main finalist and LRP driver Markus Mobers on TQ spot followed by touring car World Champion Marc Rheinard in 2nd and recent German TC indoor champion Ronald Völker in 3rd position.
Ronald Völker powered his 1:12 chassis with LRP Vector X12 Octa-Wind 4.0T motor with optional 12.0mm WorksTeam rotor, LRP SXX Stock Spec/Competition speed controls and LRP all new LiPo 5400 – 50C – 1S “Competition Car Line” battery.
As the finals got underway, it was Ronald Völker and Marc Rheinard who got the best starts and they were the only ones to still have the chance for the overall win before heading for the last and decisive 3rd round of the finals.
As the tone went off for the start of the last final, Ronald had his chances of another title in 2010 significantly decreased as he got taken-out on the first lap. But Ronald never gives up and with great driving and incredible speed Ronald slowly started to close the gap to the leaders. Ronald showed that you should never give up, and with 2 minutes to go Ronald managed to close up and pass Marc Rheinard for the lead and the overall championship. This was Ronald´s 5th big title in 2010, just weeks after securing the German TC indoor championship and winning the TCM 2010.
