LRP Sweep 1:8 Off-Road International Warm Up Race
A better result could you not hope for: Win by Hupo Hönigl in 1:8 truggy nitro and by Jörn Neumann in 1:8 buggy nitro and 1:8 buggy electric. In Bischofsheim, the LRP S8 R/C cars were in a class of their own!
A perfect weekend, just like you always wish for: warm, nice sun, great racetrack and a full packed entry list with drivers, promising an exciting weekend. Top drivers from all over Europe made the trip to the Rhein-Main-Circuit in Bischofsheim. Over 200 drivers all together were registered for the event, such as David Ronnefalk, Craig Drescher, Christoffer Svensson and Daniel Reckward. From the LRP team, Jörn Neumann, Hupo Hönigl and Moritz Gaul had travelled together to Bischofheim, supported by LRP team manager Andy Krämer.
3 classes = 3 wins. A perfect hat-trick for the LRP team at a fantastic weekend. Both in the nitro class as well as in the 1:8 electric buggy class, LRPs S8 cars were a number too big and too strong for the competitors.
1:8 Nitro Buggy
An impressive performance from Jörn Neumann. With his LRP S8 BX Team, fine tuned by team manager Andy Krämer, Jörn dominated the complete class over all the qualification rounds and finals. Using JConcepts tyres in the qualification rounds, Jörn decided to run the LRP VTEC Kamikaze tyres for the long final. Together with the LRP ZR.21 X engine, the LRP Enduro-46 1:8 Off-road exhaust system and LRP Energy Power Fuel for great power and incredibly low fuel consumption, the team was equipped with a package that was unstoppable. His team-mate Hupo Hönigl, who also was equipped with the same power-package of LRP ZR.21X, LRP Enduro-46 1:8 Off-road exhaust system and LRP Energy Power Fuel, had no chance against Jörn that weekend. Nevertheless Hupo secured himself 2nd place in front of Daniel Reckward. All three drivers used the Sanwa M11X transmitter to control their race cars.
1:8 Nitro Truggy
Excitement from the start to the end! With a few small problems Hupo Hönigl worked his way into the main final with his LRP S8 TX Team car. In the long 40 minute final, Hupo set the pace and the race quickly developed into a 2-way battle between himself and Daniel Reckward. With none of the drivers giving anything away, the fans and team-mates on the side of the track were to witness a great display of R/C driving and on-track action that lasted all the way until the end. With his LRP package of LRP S8 TX Team car, LRP ZR.21X engine, LRP Enduro-46 1:8 Off-road exhaust system and LRP Energy Power Fuel, Hupo Hönigl took control of the lead and could in the end celebrate the victory. In 3rd place we found young David Ronnefalk from Sweden.
1:8 Electric Buggy
In this class the combo driver/equipment was unbeatable. Even the most experienced international competitors had no chance this weekend. Unchallenged in 1st place after the qualification rounds and easy wins in the first 2 finals was Jörn Neumann. The 2nd title for the weekend was a “one man show†in the electric buggy class. In the 2nd and 3rd place we found David Ronnefalk and Mikael Johansson.
The basis for this impressive win was the new 1:8 high-performance 4wd electric buggy, the LRP S8 BXe Team. Together with the LRP 1:8 brushless system, consisting of the SPX8 speed control, VECTOR8 motor and the LiPo power battery LRP LiPo Competition Car Line 5900 – 50C this buggy always had the edge over its competitors. For the needed traction, the LRP team relied on LRP VTEC Kamikaze. For the perfect handling, LRP drivers trusted in the Sanwa M11X transmitter for fast and reliable transmitting.
