Paul Lemieux Wins 2010 RROC With Thunder Power RC
Thunder Power RC is excited to announce that Team Driver Paul Lemieux reigns victorious by winning the International Invitational Class at the 2010 Reedy Race of Champions using TP610C chargers and 5200mAh Pro Race 50C series batteries.
Contending for a Reedy Race of Champions title was no small feat at the May 29-30, 2010 event hosted by Nor-Cal Hobbies in Union City, CA. This gruelling two-day event consists of racing in three open-to-the-public touring car classes: 13.5T, 17.5T, and Open/Modified. In addition, the International Invitational Class featured the top talent in the field of on-road racing from around the world. Twenty-two of the world’s best drivers competed head-to-head for the championship title in this unbelievably competitive class. The Reedy Race of Champions format is a tough 8 rounds of assorted heat races consisting of 4 rounds of racing each day. All races began with random starting position and ended with points associated to each driver for their finish position (1st place = 1 point, 2nd place = 2 points, etc.). The overall winner was determined by the lowest tally of the best out of 6 finishes as drivers were able to throw out their worst (highest) 2 scores.
Team Thunder Power RC driver, Paul Lemieux, competed in the International Invitational Class driving his Xray T3R touring car powered by potent and class-leading Thunder Power RC 2S 7.4V 5200mAh Pro Race 50C batteries (TP5200-2SPR50D) charged using compact yet powerful TP610C chargers. Lemieux competed head-to-head with the best international drivers including current World Champion, Marc Rheinard of Germany. At the end of day one, Paul was tied for 1st place with Viktor Wilck of Sweden. At the end of Day Two, Paul was crowned champion of the 2010 Reedy Race International Invitational Class. Considered by many as one of the world’s
