Durango Success at Tresrey Off-Road Series
Round four of the Tresrey Off-Road race was held last Sunday at the RC Park Gojo Circuit in Gojo-city, Nara, Japan. Some 65 racers joined this event, making it the best attended race that the circuit ever had for an off-road event with 54 entrants in the 2WD class and 44 in 4WD.
In qualifying, it was Noriyuki Kawashima to managed to take TQ for both the 2WD and 4WD classes. In 2WD, Momotaro Motohira won the race from second on the grid, with Kunio Shimabukuro taking second and Eiji Tomita third. Speed Passion Japan team driver Minoru Utsugi was seventh in qualifying and finished fourth in the final. Yokomo team driver Kenji Tsuruta was third in qualifying and finished ninth in the final with his B4.1 chassis.
There were 14 Durango DEX410/Rs in the 4WD class and four of them made the A final. Noriyuk Kawashima won the race from the pole, with Momotaro Motohira taking second and Satoshi Fujii thirrd with his DEX410. Team Durango Japan local support driver Akihiro Yasuda finished fifth, Kenji Masuda finished seventh, and Team Durango/Speed Passion Japan team driver Minoru Utsugi eighth driving DEX410s.
After the award ceremony, Tresrey held a big draw prize draw which included the DEX410 2010 spec kit, Speed Passion speed controller/motor and Tresrey speed controllers.
