Eden Park Raceway to Host TLR Super Cup 2011
Eden Park Raceway will be hosting a two-day meeting on 25-26 June at their famous multi-surface racetrack in Beckenham, Kent. Although the organisers aim to attract top drivers from around Europe, it is hoped that the TLR Super Cup in association with Spektrum and Electrix will appeal to local drivers as well. The format sees a change to the norm with racing on both days for each class. On Saturday there will be two practices and three qualifiers, with a short practice, two qualifiers and multi-leg finals on Sunday. Qualifying will use the FTD format and there will be three legs for the A finals in 2WD, 4WD and Short Course with two legs for the other finals. Awards will be presented to the podium finishers in 2WD, 4WD and SC as well as the top three in U14 and U19 classes. There will also be a concourse competition prize kindly donated by RudeBits.
Entry fees are £15 per class with a limit of 160 in total split across the three classes. Tyres are open for the buggy classes, but in SC drivers are limited to standard wheels and tyres – ie no 1:8 tyres. Booking in is via Central Booking where you simply click on the respective banner at the top of the page to enter each class. There is a maximum of two classes per entrant with each driver receiving a complimentary pack of goodies at booking in. Camping on Friday and Saturday night will be allowed which should really help to make the event fun and family orientated.
