Centax-2 Housing and Brass Engine Mount

Serpent has released two new items for the 1:8 on-road chassis, the 966. The first is this machined Centax-2 clutch housing in special grade aluminium that has been designed to create extra grip for the clutch shoes. This item is some 70 per cent lighter than the steel version and for best performance, it is recommended that the 6587-XP black clutch shoe (shown) is used because the yellow and red shoe may wear too fast. Note that this new housing is compatible with all models and manufacturers that use the Centax-2 system.

The second item is the monobloc M21 engine mount in brass that not only adds extra weight very low and centrally, but also gives better heat transfer too. The brass mount weighs in at 80 grams compared to 28 grams for the standard alloy version.
