Tamiya Festival 2011 Dates Announced
The search for Europe’s leading Tamiya RC racers has begun with the announcement that the UK will host a Tamiya Festival of RC racing during the summer. The Festival will be a series qualifying rounds held at Moto Arena at Silverstone, Northamptonshire, with the winners going on to represent the UK at a final in Basel, Switzerland on 15-18 September.
Moto Arena will host the Festival rounds on 24 July and 14 August culminating in the UK Finals on 4 September. Racers will compete in Stock category using the Tamiya TT-01E chassis and Mini using M-03 and M-05 chassis’. Winners of both categories will win entry to the European Final plus flights and accommodation.
Colin Theobald of The Hobby Company expressed his delight at the announcement. “It’s great to have European racing back for this year. The Tamiya Festival will be run in the true spirit of previous Eurocups based on fun out of the box racing, where everybody has an equal chance of progressing to the final to compete against over twenty one other countries in Basel in September.â€
