Serpent 966 Team Edition
Serpent introduces their new 966 Team Edition based on the car that the team used at the 2011 IFMAR World Championships. The 966 TE includes the new rear upper suspension set with its ball-link system, combined with a new carbon camber bracket. There is also the SL8 two-speed gearbox which offers very low inertia and comes with an 8mm shaft, aluminium side pulley, new disc brake and three-pin adapter system. There is the carbon fibre extension set for the lower rear shock absorber mount as well as a new front bumper that is made of almost unbreakable composite nylon, with new shorter aerodynamic design. The bumper is shorter and the front is flatter to accommodate the low noses of current bodies.
The front upper suspension has been developed for this model that moves the pivot point of the upper arm more to the outside using a very short upper arm for better steering feeling, and an even easier to control front end. Other new features include a revised fuel tank that uses the same cap, spring and seal as used in the Cobra cars, a new split carbon fibre radio plate and front carbon stiffner, aluminium rear end connectors in rubber and aluminium as well as an upgrade manual and new set-up sheet.
