The all-new Serpent S411 continued to show its outstanding potential at round four of the BRCA 1:10 Touring Car Nationals at Aldershot last weekend. In the modified class, Chris Kerswell ran at the front throughout the five qualifying rounds and would line up an impressive second on the grid behind World Championship podium finisher Elliott Harper for the three-legged A final. Chris set the fastest time in two of the qualifiers and would have started on pole were it not for a minor technical infringement that cost him a decisive third round win.

Chris Grainger qualified third ahead of Andy Moore and Olly Jefferies. Mark Stiles was also on the pace and despite setting three top ten times in qualifying including a sixth, he would disappointingly miss out on an A final place on count back and line up second in the B final. In the A finals, some unlucky starts left Chris with a lot of work to do, but he put in a couple of solid runs to claim fifth overall. It was a similar story for Mark in the B final; he finished off the podium but had some excellent door to door races which were enjoyed by the watching crowd around the circuit.

Despite a slightly disappointing result for the team, lots of the other competitors and spectators told of how impressed they were with the S411 was performing on the track.
