Ellis Stafford Re-Signs with X Factory in Two Year Deal
Ellis Stafford: “I continue to be excited driving for X Factory. Back in 2006 when I first started with the team, we had the X-5 Squared and the original X-6, and they were the fastest, most innovative cars around. I won the BRCA National Championship in ’08 with the X-6, but we didn’t stand on our laurels. We designed and raced the X-6 Squared to the title in ’09, making it two in a row. I tied for the championship with the Squared in 2010 and I think it’s still the fastest 2WD buggy out there.
It’s the X-7 that excites me now. Again X Factory is leaping ahead with an innovative new design and I’m so happy to be a part of the design team. I took my prototype X-7 to a club race win the other weekend and it was very good indeed. 2012 and 2013 will be my most exciting years of RC racing!”
X Factory president and chief engineer Paul Sinclair said, “Ellis has been a pivotal part of the design and testing effort on the X-6 Squared and the new X-7 4WD. For continuity and future work it was important to us that he sign for the next two years, and we are very happy that Ellis wants to stay with us.”
