Team Durango and Neumann Win at Langenfeld
This past weekend saw the second round of the Longfield Six Days championship held in Langenfeld, Germany. Jörn Neumann reports on his weekend:
“It was open practice on Saturday and qualifying and finals on Sunday. The race is limited to 80 drivers per event. I used my Speed Passion-powered DEX210 in mid-motor four-gear configuration. On Saturday I tried a lot with different shock set-ups to get the best balance. In the end, a harder shock set-up was the better choice. My DEX210 was easy to drive and quick. After a couple runs I changed from a 6.5T motor to a Speed Passion 5.5T motor to get more power for some parts of the track. It was the right decision as my lap times were a little bit faster.
For Sunday I changed nothing. In my first qualifier I had bad traffic and made a few mistakes because of it. I changed nothing, but drove much better to TQ the second and third rounds for the overall TQ. In the first final, I touched another car at the end of the straight and flew into the wall so had to retire. But then I won the second and third leg to get the overall victory in front of Björn Prümper in second and Alex Hardt in third.”
