Xray Hard-Coated Narrow Pinion Gears in Aluminium

These new narrow pinions from Xray are manufactured on a specially-modified precision gear machine that has ultra-precise tolerances for unparalleled concentricity. After machining, the edges of pinions are chamfered and then the gears are run in. The pinions are then specially treated to give them an even hard-coating so they stay absolutely true for a long time. They 64dp gears are available in 40, 41, 42, 44, 46, 48 and 50-tooth sizes that are manufactured from special lightweight aircraft duraluminum. These are 1.5mm thinner and 25 per cent lighter than the regular-size pinion gears.
