LRP Wins at TITC with Meen Vejrak
The tenth Thailand International Touringcar Championship was again held at the RC Addict Circuit in Bangkok. More than 300 drivers participated in the five classes of this prestigious race. The modified class saw drivers such as Marc Rheinard, Jilles Groskamp, Atsushi Hara, Meen Vejrak, Andy Moore and Victor Wilck to name the absolute top guys. LRP/Xray driver Meen Vejrak was the fastest driver in practice. After a tough fight with Jilles Groskamp, Meen also secured TQ in the modified class by winning three out of five qualifiers. Jilles finished second ahead of Marc Rheinard.
After a small mistake on lap two of A1, it was fifth qualifier Atsushi Hara that passed Meen. But Meen didn’t give up. With a concentrated and error-free performance, he was able to take the lead back to win the first leg as Jilles Groskamp took the third place. After his car suffered wheelspin at the start of A2, Meen fell back to the third position behind Jilles Groskamp and Atsushi Hara. To make his bad luck complete, Meen and Atsushi crashed, while Meen was trying to overtake. In the end, Meen finished fifth. The top three drivers in A2 were Jilles Groskamp, Atsushi Hara and Marc Rheinard.
Before the decisive final, there were Meen Vejrak, Jilles Groskamp and Atsushi Hara still with a chance for the overall win. Meen made a clean start and stayed on top. Without making any mistake, Meen was able to defend the leading position against the attacks of his competitors and took home the victory in A3 and the overall TITC title! Jilles Groskamp finished second overall ahead of Atsushi Hara. Meen powered his Xray car with the new LRP Vector X20 4.5T motor and LRP SXX TC spec Version 2 speed control.
