Mitch, Law, Borkowicz and Venezia Win with JConcepts

2012 Super Cup Championship Series – Spring Session #2

JR Mitch, Felix Law, Daimon Borkowicz and Austin Venezia win with JConcepts at Race 2 of the Super Cup Championship Series

NewRed Hobbies in Ocala, Florida was the site of race two of the 2012 Super Cup Championship Series Spring session. With an awesome turnout of 201 entries you could feel the excitement from the racers ready to lay down the laps on NewRed’s high traction surface.

First up in the A final was the novice class. Angel Ocasio took the TQ position with 12 laps 5:16. It would be Kermit Butts taking the win with 13 laps 6:01 against Angel’s 13 laps 6:05 for second. Jorge Rosaly took the third pace spot with 13 laps 6:09.
The Stock Buggy A final had Austin Venezia taking the TQ spot and the win with 16 laps 6:08. Alan Wight took the second place spot with 16 laps 6:15.4. Mac Davis with third place, 16 laps 6:15.7.
Expert Buggy Stock had JConcepts driver Daimon Borkowicz taking the TQ spot and A final win with 17 laps 6:06. Daimon’s B4.1 equipped with JConcepts Bar Codes front and rear, Finnisher body and Hi-Clearance wing, gave him the extra nine seconds needed to take the win. Kory Ferguson took the second place spot with Mike Applegate in third.

In Mod Buggy, JR Mitch took the TQ spot with 15 laps 5:04. JR would also take the A final win with 17 laps 6:09.1 in a great battle with Leon McIntosh. Leon drove a very clean aggressive race against JR with only 0.832 seconds separating first and second place. JR Mitch’s TLR 22 was equipped with JConcepts Finnisher Body and High Clearance wing with Blue Bar Codes, gave him the extra advantage he needed to take the win. Felix Law took the third place spot with 17 laps 6:10.
In Pro 2 Stock SCT, Austin Venezia again took the TQ spot and win with 16 laps 6:18 from Jovan Cruz in second and Bruce Bennett third.

The Mod Truck A final had JR Mitch and Leon McIntosh back at it again for another exciting battle down to the last lap. JR took the TQ spot and the win with 17 laps 6:04.0 with Leon just 0.6 behind. JR Mitch’s TLR 22T was using the new JConcepts Finnisher Body and Blue Bar Codes, gave him the 0.0585 seconds needed for the win as Daimon Borkowitz took third place.

Stock Truck had Bruce Bennett taking the TQ spot and the win with 16 laps 6:08. Tracy Carver took the second place position with 16 laps 6:15 and Mac Davis was third.
There was another fierce battle for the first place spot, this time between Top Qualifier Felix law and Leon McIntosh in Pro 4 Mod SCT. Leon once again put on a great display of driving against Felix as the latter took first with 17 laps 6:03 with Leon only one second behind. Cory Schoppmeyer was third with 17 laps/6:18.
In the Mod 4WD A final, Ryan Eckert dominated taking TQ and he win with 18 laps 6:08. Janos Lazar was second with Larry Atwood third.
The Expert Pro 2 Stock A final saw Superior Hobbies Michael Bruce taking the first place position with 16 laps 6:08. John Bernard took the TQ position but fell only two seconds behind Mike for second place with 16 laps 6:11 and Cody Wiles was third.
The Pro 2 Mod SCT A final saw Ryan Eckert laying down the law taking TQ and the win with 17 laps 6:10. JConcepts Paul Wynn ran a good race taking the second place spot with 17 laps 6:13 as Daimon Borkowicz took the third place position with 17 laps 6:19.
