ECX Announce Type E and Type N Revenge 1:8 Buggies
ECX has released two new 1:8 entry-level buggies called the Revenge that will come in two platforms – electric and nitro power. The former is called the Revenge Type E and as an RTR, is designed to withstand the rigours of today’s high-powered brushless power systems and offers high performance without breaking the bank. It comes with a high-spec waterproof Dynamite Fuze 130A brushless electronic speed control and a 550-size four-pole 2500kV motor. The motor’s four-pole construction offers plenty of torque and power, and suitable for 2-3S (7.4V-11.1V) LiPo. The speed control is well within its comfort zone as that is able to handle a 4S (14.4V) LiPo set-up.
Based on a 3mm 6061-T6 grade aluminium chassis and metal gear driveline, the 4WD system ensures the Revenge has plenty of traction and grip. Control is taken care of by a Spektrum 2.4GHz radio and high-torque 9kg-cm digital steering servo. An oil-filled shock absorber is fitted to each corner with Dynamite WatchDog SpeedTreads tyres mounted on race-inspired black dish wheels put the power to the ground.
Supplied as an RTR, only a LiPo battery, charger and four AAs for the transmitter are required.

The second Revenge model is the Type N and is a nitro-powered RTR. Like the Tyre E, it’s based upon a 3mm thick 6061-T6 aluminium chassis and has a metal gear drivetrain. Equipped with the proven Dynamite Mach 2 Sport engine, it puts the power down through a 4WD shaft-driven transmission. The 3.5cc Dynamite comes complete with a pull-start system making it ideal for recreational running and day-to-day use.
Controlling the Revenge N is an established Spektrum 2.4GHz radio system with powerful high-torque 9kg-cm digital servos on both the steering and throttle/brake. Oil-filled shock absorbers, Dynamite WatchDog SpeedTreads tyres and black race-inspired wheels complete the package.
Requiring no more than fuel, four AAs transmitter batteries and a glow driver to complete, the ECX Revenge Type N needs little time to get up and running.
