Mitch, Borkowicz and Viesins Win With JConcepts at SCCS Fall
The site for the JConcepts Super Cup Championship Series Fall Session race two was located at SCRC Raceway in Cocoa, Florida. Competition was intense with 239 entries and 83 races totalling 13 hours of racing action. Colourful race announcing from multiple volunteers added extra flair, which drew spectators right into the racing excitement. Angel Echevarri, the owner of SCRC provided a top notch indoor racing facility with on-site hobby shop, fully stocked with JConcepts products. Here is recap of the racing.
Stock Buggy
Alan Wight took TQ and the win with 13 laps 5:11. Mark Papero took the second place spot with 13 laps 5:21 and Tracy Carver came in third with 12 laps 5:13.
Expert Buggy Stock
Janos Lazar won the A final with 13 laps 5:21 as Jonathan Paulk took second place spot with Mac Davis third.
Mod 4WD
The A final had Zack Genova taking the top spot with 14 laps 5:00 with Felix Law in second place spot with 14 laps 5:03. Felix would take the fast lap record for the event with a lap time of 21.775 seconds. Bobby Horan came in third with 14 laps 5:16.
Pro 2 Mod SCT
JR Mitch dominated taking the TQ spot and the win with his TLR 22 SCT with 14 laps 5:18. Ryan Eckert was in second place with 14 laps 5:23. Christopher Viesins took third place with 13 laps 5:08.
Pro 2 Stock SCT
It was Bruce Bennett taking first place with 12 laps 5:00. Landen Lewis lined up second with 12 laps 5:05 and Jonathan Paulk was third.
Mod Truck
Daimon Borkowicz was on pole for the A final and took the win with an impressive run of 14 laps 5:19. Zack Genova took second place with 13 laps 5:04 as Donny Haywood came in third with 13 laps 5:08.
Stock Truck
The win was taken by Jonathan Paulk and was followed by Alan Wight and Clint Ward in third place.
Pro 4 Mod SCT
Christopher Viesins dominated taking TQ and the top spot with 14 laps 5:17. Mark Soliman took the second with 14 laps 5:22 and with Cory Schoppmeyer third on 13 laps 5:03.
Mod Buggy
Once again JR Mitch dominated taking TQ and the win with 14 laps 5:10. JR’s TLR 22 was equipped with a JConcepts Finnisher Body and High Clearance wing with Green V2 Bar Codes. Ryan Eckert took the second place spot with 14 laps 5:22. Leon McIntosh came in third with 14 laps 5:25.
1:8 E-Buggy
Mark Soliman took the win with 14 laps 5:18 from Mike Applegate second and Cory Schoppmeyer in third.
