Serpent will release a completely new 1:8 scale on-road car in February 2013. Designer Michael Salven went all out on this exciting new masterpiece, with input from many Serpent racers to followon from the successful Serpent 960 and 966 series. Around 80 per cent of the car is new, with the Centax TrueMotion clutch, two-speed gearbox, wheel axles, driveshafts and bumper carried over. All the other parts are newly designed and fast, whilst remaining easy to work on.
Michael has just returned from the final test in Valencia, Spain, with a big smile on his face. The Viper 977 goes in production as further testing is being carried out, to finalise new option parts and find best default set-ups in Spain, Italy, USA and UK for now. More details and images will follow in the next weeks. Stay tuned.
