With the last two races being run on the Astro track, the Herts club was glad to get back on to the dirt for the re-run of the second round of the winter series. The track was rolled whilst it was frozen at 08:00 in the morning and this gave the racers a terrific surface to run on. Tony Truman took TQ in the buggy with his Beta equipped Agama with Tommy Chung fastest in truggy with his Kyosho running AKA tyres.
The D final in buggy was won by John Geaves ahead of Nizam Din and Steve Biscoe. Wesley Robinson won the C final from Steve Dean and Stuart Smith. The B final win went to Francois Nerriere with Bart Banach second and Garry Brace third. Simon Reeves won the A final with his TLR ahead of the S-Workz of Kevin Brunsden and Callum Niblett with the Hong Nor. Richard Cousins beat Tommy Chung to the truggy A final with James Tatlow third.
Well done to the 60 plus races that braved the cold for an excellent days racing. The next 1:8 meeting takes place on 10 February and you can book in here. The next 1:10 off-meeting is on 27 January and you can book in here.
