TLR’s Darrren Bloomfield showed a clean pair of wheels to a quality opposition as he took all four round wins and then followed this up with success in legs one and two of the A final at Maritime Racing in Kent. The 2013 Off-Road Wars was held at the extremely popular venue on their testing new permanent indoor track with a strong international field of drivers in attendance.
In the 2WD event, pole position always looked like it was heading the way of TLR driver Darren Bloomfield – the other drivers just couldn’t get close. Joining Darren on the front row of the grid was Tamiya’s Lee Martin with reigning champ Durango’s Jorn Neumann in third.
The finals were closer then qualifying but Darren still ruled the roost. As errors from the contenders dropped them out of contention Darren kept it fast and clean to win the first two legs and take the overall win. Despite relinquishing his title Jorn still took second place whilst a hard fought win in the final leg was enough for Lee to claim the final podium spot.
