The latest model release on the TLR 22 platform is the 22SCT RTC. This short course truck model, called the Ready-To-Compete is designed to be just that, right out of the box. Mechanically identical to their 22SCT kit when built in rear-motor guise, this model features a gear diff that can be tuned with different oil viscosities instead of the ball diff for greater consistency and reliability, as well as reduced maintenance.The electric package includes a powerful high-torque digital steering servo, micro SR3520 DSM2 three-channel Spektrum receiver and the Spektrum DX2L steerwheel transmitter. Dynamite takes care of the power system with the inclusion of a BRCA legal 17.5T sensored Dynamite Platinum brushless motor, controlled by the new Dynamite Platinum unit that features both a zero-timing ‘Blinky’ mode for control class racing and a more powerful timing mode that can extract more power from the motor where racing classes permit it.
Unlike other RTRs, the TLR 22SCT RTC shares the exact same components as the 22SCT kit before it. That means that you get the same 7075 hard-anodised aluminium alloy chassis plate, a full set of ball races, big-bore alloy threaded body shock absorbers with alloy bleeder caps and the same proprietary plastics throughout. Even the TLR High-Performance SCT body is included in the 22SCT RTC and which comes pre-printed in a striking three-colour livery to match the wheel discs and which gives this SCT real pro-class appeal.
