RPM’s wishbones for the Team Associated B4, B4.1 and B4.2 were designed to solve several customer-related complaints about the stock versions. The RPM ones are designed to withstand some serious abuse and this includes a redesigned front-end that sees the stock front bulkhead replaced by a version that helps spread impact forces over a larger area at the inner hinge pin mounts. RPM’s front wishbones are wider at the inner hinge pin by nearly 3/16” without altering suspension geometry. They also focused on the hinge pin retaining system used on the stock wishbones. Using a small screw hole so close to the hinge pin like the standard part creates structural weaknesses so they moved the retaining screws in-line with the hinge pins, significantly strengthening the RPM parts in the process. The final focus was on slop elimination and the result is a smooth, free-moving suspension system with minimal slop. Note that to use the RPM arms you will have to fit the RPM bulkhead that is includes in the kit. The stock or other aftermarket bulkheads will not work with RPM wishbones.
