Details have been released for the 2013-14 BRCA 1:12 National Championships that will take place over six rounds. The classes have been amended for this year’s winter championship with the 1:12 cars running two classes on the Saturday (Stock 10.5T and Stock 13.5T). The 13.5T class replaces the 17.5T class from last time. On Sunday the classes remain as per 2012-13, with the options of a Sports class, which permits any stock motor with no lower than a 10.5T winding. The second class for Sunday is the modified class. The GT12 championship will continue to run as a support series to 1:12 in 2013-14, with a Saturday and a Sunday championship run over six rounds with the best four to count in all categories. The only other major rule change is that the previous additive list for the championship has been scrapped and the list re-set with just two non-oil based additives – Spider Gip Green X Strong and SXT 3.0 Traction Compound. The new additive list has been implemented to reduce the problem of the current oil based additive rotting the foam tyres and making the track greasy and messy after two days of racing.
