The weather was great again for the third round of the HNMC winter series at Westmill Farm. The track was prepped to a high standard for the weekend’s racing, so thanks again to the HNMC team. Some 60 racers made the trip and racing was close and fast all day with a great atmosphere thought out the whole day. The top positions in qualifying went to Jon Hazlewood in nitro buggy, Simon Reeves in E-buggy and Richard Cousins in truggy.
In the nitro buggy finals, Peter Bird won the D final with Adam Smith second and Nick Hattingh third. Jamie Reeks won the C final from Chris Smoothy and Jeremy Irving. HNMC’s own Jim Thompson took the B final with Barry Abbott second and young Jamie Clancy third.
Come the A final and it was the pole sitter Agama driver Jon Hazlewood whop converted his TQ to to the own from TLR’s Simon Reeves in second and Steve Johnson.
In the truggy A final Richard Cousins raced fro pole to the win with Philip Michael and James Morl taking second and third respectively.
The last final was the E-buggy A final and not tone outdo, Simon Reeves also successfully converted pole to the win, taking victory from Nigel Morris and James Jordan.
