JConcepts has released an additional option for C4.2 owners with the release of the narrow rear pivot suspension kit. The C4.2 comes stock with a slightly wider rear suspension pivot geometry that allows the vehicle to react appropriately in extremely high-grip conditions. However, when the traction is lower, the team have found the narrow rear pivot suspension to be of benefit. By decreasing the size of the camber link, inner pivot virtual rectangle, the buggy transitions left to right quicker. Drivers feel more confident as traction breaks allowing them to power down slightly quicker adding to forward moment. This set-up is especially good in medium to high traction conditions which drivers see on outdoor and indoor tracks throughout the year. Note that the narrow pivot mounts must be used in conjunction with the #2323 C4.2 rear suspension kit to take full advantage of the rear suspension geometry.
Along with the narrow rear pivot suspension kit, you can but separate front and rear plates. The C4.2 aluminium narrow pivot rear suspension front plate is CNC machined into a custom shape to flow under and around the transmission case and motor plate of the C4.2.
The C4.2 aluminium narrow pivot suspension rear plates are available in either 2.5 and 3-degree toe-in options. The plates are designed to give the vehicle 2.5 or 3-degrees of toe-in on both rear tyres giving the option of neutral (2.5-degrees) or the more grippy setting (3-degrees). The mount can be run in two different directions, 1D represents 1-degree of anti-squat and 2D represents 2-degrees of anti-squat.
Finally, as suspension components on the rear of the C4.2 can twist, turn, pivot and wear-out over a period of time, JConcepts offers replacement rear inner pivot bushings for the #2328 aluminium narrow pivot, rear suspension mount set. The bushings are CNC machined and finished to a gloss, proving suspension freedom and freshness.
