Last weekend saw the conclusion of this season’s Astro Winter Masters series run by the popular Silverstone Model Car Club. The series attracted over 260 entries, split over four classes (2WD buggy, 4WD buggy, short course truck and stadium truck) across the six round championship.
In stadium truck, Kevin Hunt took a convincing win with his X-Factory X60-CF truck with the perfect score of 600 points from just four rounds. His truck was fully powered by Vampire Racing using the SR1+ speed control, Type AB+ V2 6.5T motor and 5400 70C saddle pack LiPos. His truck was also fitted out with various option parts from JConcepts, Team SR and DE Racing.
In short course it was a very similar story with Paul Upton running his TLR 22SCT chalked up another perfect 600 score in the first four rounds of the championship. Paul’s SCT was running all electronics from Vampire once more (SR1+, Type AB+ 8.5T and 4400 50C shorty LiPo)
