Avid RC has released a whole raft of upgrades for the new HB D413 1:10 off-road buggy starting with a hard anodised aluminium chassis set. Born from a winning pedigree – their IFMAR World Champion-winning B44.2 aluminium chassis – Avid took what they had learned from that and refined the design by lowering the ballast weight even more into the chassis, oversized chamfers on the bottom corners for increased stability during those inevitable chassis dragging moments, and an optional floating servo mount that allows the chassis to twist equally left to right.
They also offer a low CG ballast weight system that simplifies the process of adjusting your weight bias using additional Delrin (3g), aluminium (7g), or brass (21g). There is a weight increase of 57g over the kit carbon fibre chassis however, it lowers CG and removes the need for additional added weight up high on the chassis. A carbon fibre battery stop puck that keeps the battery out of the drivetrains way. The set comes with the chassis, one Delrin and aluminium ballast weight, a carbon fibre battery stop, Upgrade RC chassis protector and Avid decal.
