The wet and cold frozen conditions at this time of year were not ideal for racing, but the diehard HNMC racers numbering 60 braved it out. Jack Embling and Simon Reeves took TQs In nitro buggy and E-buggy respectively.
In the finals, Stephen Smith won the D final from Stuart Smith and Wayne Buckhorn. Keith Harris won the C final with Michael Saggers second and Jeremy Irving third. The B final was won by John Geaves ahead of Jim Thompson and Jamie Reeks. The win in the A final was taken by Tony Truman ahead of Simon Reeves and Oliver Currie.
In the E-buggy A final Simon Reeves converted his pole position to the win from Richard Cousins and Nigel Morris.
