It was back to the dirt track for round 11 and hopefully we will be saying goodbye to the winter. The team had prepped the track in the week and with the recent weather it was in great condition. Simon Reeves was in dominating form today, taking TQ in all three rounds of the nitro and E-buggy race classes with his Mugen/Bullitt/Beta/Herts RC Models-powered buggies.
In the finals, Peter Bird won the nitro D final from Al Lee and Phil Saggers. Will Daniels was first in the C final as Keith Harris took second and Steve Carter third. The nitro B final was won by Darren Warburton from Jamie Reeks and Shaun Gumbs. Simon Simon Reeves converted his pole position to a win in the nitro buggy A final as young Jamie Clancy tok second ahead of Darren Hayden-Ball. Simon then made it two from two with the E-buggy win as Richard Cousins took second and Nigel Morris third.
The HNMC winter series concludes on the 22 March where Jamie Clancy or Simon Reeves will be crowned winter 2014-15 buggy champion. Thanks to all for a great days racing today. We hope to have the website fully back up within the next two weeks.
