The fast flowing Halifax track played host to round four of the 2015 BRCA 1:10 Electric Touring Car series and saw the first national win for Schumacher driver Elliott Harper and his Mi5evo. In qualifying, Elliott took TQ ahead of Kyle Branson with Chris Grainger third, as defending champion Olly Jefferies lined up fourth and Stafford round winner Schumacher’s Colin Price fifth.
Over the three leg finals, Elliott took leg one with Andy Moore taking leg two from sixth on the grid. Chris Grainger took the final leg, but with a first place in leg one and second in leg two it was Elliott who took the spoils ahead of Chris and Kyle. After three third places in each leg of the finals, Colin Price was unlucky only to pick up fifth overall.
With one round to go the BRCA series is wide open with four drivers capable of taking the title when the series moves to the final round at West London next month. The West London showdown will see a winner take all scenario between Elliott Harper, Chris Grainger, Olly Jefferies and Colin Price. There will be no last round showdown in the 13.5T stock as defending champion Zak Finlay took the win at Halifax and in doing so successfully defended his UK national stock title. Zak had to fight off a strong mid-season challenge from Schumacher driver James Hart who finished second at Halifax and completing the podium was Jimmy Maddison.
