VRC are to release their long-awaited 1:8-scale E-buggy on Friday 30 October 30 and the package includes a spec and a modified version of the chassis. The spec has limited adjustability and uses a modest 1450Kv motor, whilst the modified chassis has a fully adjustable set-up, including suspension and steering geometry, weight distribution, shocks, anti-roll bars and diffs. The new EX8-R chassis is powered by a choice of Tekin T8 motors ranging from the 1900Kv through to the extreme powerful 2650Kv motor in combination with the Tekin RX8 speed control. This will be powered by 4S 14.8V LiPo battery packs to give you a good ten to 15-minute runtime with the E-buggy.
VRC Pro all-inclusive members will enjoy a two week exclusive access period before the regular Free2Play members will be able to buy the1:8 electric buggy expansion pack from the VRC Pro e-shop. The spec version will be available to all members immediately.
The new 1:8 E-buggy class will be part of the 2015 VRC Worlds which start on 28 November, but in the mean time, check out the video below:
