TLR has updated their top of the range truggy with a number of new features. Starting with revised suspension geometry, this aims to make it easier for drivers of all levels to turn faster lap times with fewer mistakes, with the the track now being some 11mm narrower. The engine has been repositioned to reduce front driveshaft angle so more power makes it to the front wheels, and this sits on a new larger mount that substantially reduces chassis flex and fatigue underneath the engine when racing on high-grip tracks. There are now larger bearing spindles and rear that have been revised to accept a larger 8x16x5mm outer bearing for increased durability, whilst the 15-degree caster blocks make it possible to tune dogbone plunge by changing the height of the spindle.
The 8ight-T 4.0 includes new bleeder shock caps and seals for easier rebuilds while using an emulsion shock set-up. There are also new moulded rubber boots on the universals and centre drivetrain dogbones that will increase their durability by retaining any lubrication and keeping dirt out. Revised chassis side guards and redesigned shock towers wrap up the main changes found on the new truggy.
