Jon Hazlewood and the Nemo Racing team finally show off their new 1:8 buggy concept, and the product that they have been working on over the last few years…
The video is supported by a statement from Nemo Racing:
“A few weeks ago at the last BRCA National Championship round we decided to show what we have been working on for the last year with our 1:8 platform (and even longer on others) our concept car.
Designed and engineered in-house in the UK, with top-level real motorsport gurus and our own pro team, we have used the absolute latest in technology to 3D print the special wishbones and gearbox cases and our own CNC carbon parts to accompany it… it’s been a true labour of love. We have created a full lay-down suspension setup, that’s super lightweight, has a super-low centre of gravity and is super easy to mechanic. So excited with what testing had shown we decided to throw caution to the wind and give a peek to the racing world. Finished the night before the start of the race, version 4 was ready and trusted to the old hands of Jon Hazlewood – the show was on.
Once again we had the wonderful fortune to have @charlie_lock from @terratvltd on hand to capture the moments – both good and bad – so have a watch and see what he shot as we tried to pull off an industry first and race at National-level a 3D-printed prototype 1:8 car.”
