Lamberto Collari Wins 1:8 Worlds with LRP
RC car legend Lamberto Collari relied on the performance and reliability of LRP LiPo batteries, chargers and the Sanwa radio technology to take an incredible 9th IFMAR 1:8 On-Road World Championship title.
The week of 17-23 August was the date for 1:8 On-Road World Championship at the huge Lostallo racetrack in the middle of the European Alps, in Switzerland. All the best drivers from all over the world came to compete in the class that is often mentioned as the “Formula 1” of RC cars, the 18th Nitro On-Road class.
After the successful IFMAR 1:10 Nitro World Championship and 1:10 Nitro European Championship where LRP and Sanwa dominated with the majority of drivers using LRP LiPo receiver and transmitters batteries, the 1:8 On-Road World Championship in Lostallo was an even bigger success for LRP.
In the very tough 1:8 on-road nitro class where a 60 minute long single A-final is run, reliability is of greatest importance. A RC driver like Lamberto Collari knows only the best equipment will be good enough if you want to succeed at the highest level of racing. At a World Championship only a single small problem would mean the end of any chance of retaining the IFMAR World Championship trophy. No other driver in the world knows how to use and what to use to ensure no technical failures or breakages. Therefore LRP is proud that Lamberto Collari relied on LRP LiPo technology and products at this years World Championship.
When qualification was finished the domination was clear, the top four direct qualifiers Robert Pietsch, Lamberto Collari, Alberto Picco and Mark Green all used Sanwa transmitters, receiver and servos.
LRP took the top three positions in qualifying, all using LRP VTEC LiPo RX and TX packs in their RC cars.
When the semi-final had been run and the A-Final drivers line-up was completed it was a clear majority of the drivers who relied on Sanwa and LRP LiPo batteries.
The winner Lamberto Collari used LRP LiPo batteries and Sanwa systems.
7 out of 10 drivers in the A-final used Sanwa transmitter/receiver/servo.
5 out of 10 drivers in the A-final used LRP VTEC LiPo RX and TX batteries.
In the long 60 minute A-final Lamberto Collari showed everyone just why he is a living legend and the most successful 1:8 on-road driver of all time by dominating all of his competitors in the final by running faster lap times, better strategy, zero mistakes and 100% reliable equipment.
Big congratulations to Lamberto Collari on your 9th IFMAR World Championship title!
