O’Donnell SS .21 Rocks the House at Motorama
When you talk about race results, it’s the complete package that makes it happen…and that’s exactly what O’Donnell Racing had at this year’s Motorama…the “Complete Packageâ€.
Yes, the O’Donnell Z01-B SG and the Z01-T SG were extremely impressive in their national debut. Yes, Barry Baker did an exceptional job driving. But the O’Donnell SS .21 was just as impressive, with more than enough power and fuel economy to take the TQ in Pro Buggy and the win in Pro Truggy. When others were fighting flameout issues and poor fuel economy, the SS .21 never missed a beat.
Another piece of the O’Donnell Racing package was the brand new, medium/hot 87T glow plug. It’s the perfect match for the SS .21 engine — hotter than the 97T but cooler than the 77T, with a clean, crisp idle and extremely long life. Designed primarily for off-road use, the new 87T is in fact a perfect choice for any off-road, turbo plug engine.
To complete the total package, Baker also used the highly anticipated O’Donnell R2 header/pipe combination. The R2 system offers excellent drivability, superb linear response, awesome top end power and very good fuel economy. O’Donnell offers two headers for the R2, Short and Medium. For the Motorama layout, Baker opted for the medium header.
Motorama proved the point: When you combine the Z01-B SG or Z01-T SG with the SS.21, the R2 pipe and 87T plug, O’Donnell truly has the “Complete Packageâ€!
