2010 Hobby Haven Off-Road Shootout

Hobby Haven held the 2010 Off Road Shootout again this year in Urbandale Iowa over Labor Day weekend. For the second year JConcepts was the title sponsor for this event. Many Team Drivers were on hand from Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, and Michigan. Saturday had 147 Entries for the day. The track was technical, and was ran dry, so tires and setup were key. It was a perfect day for racing, the weather was warm and sunny, and the wind was nowhere in sight.
JConcepts Driver Mack Vanderbeek won 2-wheel Modified Buggy Running JConcepts Double Dees on the Rear, with JConcepts Rounders on the front, both in Super Sticky Green Compound. Also used was the JConcepts High Flow B4 Body, and 6Ó V-wing.
12 year old Alex Vanderbeek qualified fourth in the Modified Short Course Class (largest class with 40+ entries). Alex charged to the front of the pack on the first lap of both A1, and A2, and never looked back, Winning the Overall Victory using JConcepts Subcultures/rear Double Dee/fronts with JConcepts 1:8 scale Profiled Inserts.
JConcepts products would prove to be the weapons of choice to battle the hard packed Iowa dirt and Supercross Style layout. Winning other classes including 13.5 Buggy, 13.5 Truck, and 4-wheel Modified Buggy.
