Alex Hagberg Victorious at 2010 Indoor Nordic Championships
LRP team driver Alex Hagberg outperformed the best touring car drivers from Finland, Norway and Sweden as he took the 2010 Indoor Nordic Championship title. The event was held in the small village of Spydeberg, just outside the Norwegian capital Oslo on a open and fast carpet track. The LRP VTEC CPX carpet pre-glued wheel was the controlled tyre for this race and every driver got two pairs. Alex dominated qualifying winning four of the five rounds to take TQ ahead of Adrian Berntsen. The local favourite also showed great pace, but made too many mistakes to be able to fight for the TQ spot so he took second with Michael Nilsson third.
In the finals, Alex kept cool and didn’t make any mistakes. In the first final he was closely followed by Adrian, who finished only one second behind but i the next leg, his pursuers got tangled up during the first laps which gave him a big gap. Consequently his lead wasn’t challenged at any time and Alex was able to win the title after just two legs. In the third and final leg, Swede Michael Nilsson beat the local star Adrian Berntsen to take the runner-up spot with one leg win and one second place.
