Nuremberg 2011 – HPI
As usual, HPI had added to their extensive and popular range with some tweaked models and all-new designs too. Taking the centre stage in our opinion is a truck without a name – yet! The new “small scale” Savage is a brand new concept and as the name suggests, is a scaled down version of the famous Savage platform. This sits in between the Savage Nano and the established Savage. The “small scale” model is still in development as the lack of a confirmed name suggests. The 5SC truck is the latest addition to the Baja range, whilst there is a new full-option Savage, an HPI RTR version of the Hot Bodies D8, truggy and buggy versions of the Trophy Flux, a brushless-powered Mini-Trophy short course truck as well as new bodies in the Sprint and Nitro 3 ranges including the BMW M3. Other interesting items is a replica of the OS engine that Atsushi Hara used at the World Championships that will be sold under the HB brand as well as a new HPI Challenge tyre called the 30H that come ready to use. In addition to the HPI and HB items, there is the Blackout MT from Maverick shown at the bottom that Racer will have reviewing in an issue very soon.
