Chili Lim Wins Second Team C Cup at Borneo Limbang

The Team C Cup was a great success that attracted racers from all around Malaysia, Brunei, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Around 80 racers participated and there was lots of expectation as it attracted many big names. Highlight of the race was Chili Lim with his Novarossi-powered Cobra 811. In qualifying, the event was decided by just only one qualifier due to the weather as the rain started to pour down in the late afternoon. During Chili’s heat, the car set-up was great as within three laps he set the second fastest lap for the whole qualifying, only to be ruined by a loose ball joint that caused him to retire shortly after the third lap so qualified second from bottom.
The event was run a Christmas tree format so Chili competed in the bottom final and bump-up as far as he could. The car and engine was excellent through the lower finals and after racing for 105-minutes with minimal rest, Chili manage to take second position for the hour long final. In the main final, Chili manage to take the lead in the early stages and after that, started to slowly pull away from the rest of the pack. At the end, Chili finished two laps ahead of second.
