Mike Aliberti Takes Two Wins at the Snow Ball Championship

There were 172 entries at the seventh annual Snow Ball Championship held last weekend at the famous RC Excitement track in Fitchburg. Most of the top drivers in the New England area turned out to challenge another great Excitement layout.
“It was lights out,” said Mike Aliberti after totally dominating the 2WD Modified Short Course class with his SCX-60CF, the new carbon fibre short course conversion kit about to be announced from X Factory. Aliberti’s slim mid-motor truck handily won both rounds of qualifying and won the A final by more than two laps. Also, Mike’s qualifying time would have put him seventh on the A final grid for Modified 2WD Buggy.
In Modified Buggy, Aliberti drove his X-6 Squared to third on the A final grid. On the first lap of the six-minute race, the second place car crashed, and Mike took off chasing the leader, who crashed and broke his car at about the two minute mark and Mike drove off to a three quarter lap win.
X Factory expects to have the SCX-60CF in stock at hobby stores all over the world in just a few weeks.
