Round three of the BRCA Off-Road Nationals were held at Eden Park Raceway on the Kent/South London border. A mostly Astroturf track with some concrete and cobbles, the layout provides a tough challenge for the drivers and with the weather good for the whole weekend the grip levels were high.
In the 2WD event, it was the three championship protagonists at the front as Simon Moss took pole position ahead of Lee Martin and winner of the previous Neil Cragg. The winner of round one Darren Bloomfield with Tom Yardy (driving the development Centro car) tool fourth and fifth respectively.
In the finals, the pressure was clearly on as there were plenty of mistakes by all the drivers. Lee took the first leg after a last lap roll by Darren, the second leg went to Simon and the final leg saw Lee victorious to take the overall win.
