Every year, Herts Nitro Model Club runs the Members GP to reward their club members. This includes a number of freebies including race day, practice day, camping, BBQ, tea and coffee. This is a fun event relaxed with a few new members racing for the first time.This year HNMC held a raffle for Herts Air Ambulance supported by Horizon Hobby, Nemo Racing and Herts RC Models, and almost £200 was raised for a great cause. There was a standard race format for the day with an hour for lunch. Qualifying in nitro buggy went to Simon Reeves with E-buggy taken by Callum Niblett as truggy went to Phil Saggers.

Come the finals, Colin Drummond won the truggy class from Phil Saggers and Jagit Randhawa as Callum Niblett beat Matt white and Michael Vaugh in E-buggy.
The D final for nitro buggy was won by Jamie Reeks ahead of Jeremy Irving and Steve Chantler. The C final was won by Ben Turner from John Niall and Stuart Parnell. Steve Johnson won the B final ahead of Peter Palmer and John Niall, whilst in the A final it was Simon Reeves who was victorious from Oliver Currie and Tom Saggers. Overall it was a great day for all and thanks must go to Stuart Smith for organising the event. The club hopes to make this free event bigger and better in 2014.
