Last weekend the first round of the South German Championship took place at the fast track of Bamberg. Shepherd driver Maxi Vogl showed great performance all weekend with his Velox V8 EC/Sonic X.21-FT combo.
In qualifying he took the TQ by 4.4 seconds in front of Armin Baier followed by Oliver Lembeck another 0.7 of a second down. Due to bad weather the final was shortened to 20-minutes. The crowd saw a clean start at the front of the grid and Maxi immediately pulled away taking control of the race. Lap by lap he increased the gap on the rest of the field and crossed the finishing line two laps in front of Oliver Lembeck with Armin Baier completing the podium another lap down.
