It is with much sadness and grief that we have to let you all know that in the early hours Tuesday morning, Martin Laxton suffered a heart attack at his home from which he didn’t recover.
We received the following statement:
Martin was one of the foundation members of the Hertford club and would often help out anyone who needed a hand on or off the track. His skills with accounting helped to keep the club running during hard times, which has seen it prosper into the popular Rug Racers series.
Sometimes in life, we are blessed with meeting and making friends with good people. Sometimes and very rarely, we are lucky enough to meet, make friends with, adore, respect and love great people.
We at Hertford Radio Car Club have all been lucky enough to have met such a bright shining star.
A man who gave all his time, love, blood, sweat and tears for our club. A man who helped everyone. A man who spent his time making sure everybody had fun. A great friend. A great father. A great man.
