If anyone had doubts about Chris Grainger’s decision to move to Team Associated at the start of 2015, those doubts would have been well and truly answered as the multiple British Champion notched up another national victory at the second round of the BRCA national series at Mendip.
Chris Grainger got off to the best start by taking TQ ahead of Elliott Harper. Kyle Branson went well at the Schumacher BTCC round and continued that good form with third on the grid for the national. Next up was Andy Moore ahead of round one winner Olly Jefferies, with Branson’s Capricorn team mate Stef Chodzynski having a good Mendip national as he lined up sixth.
Three straight wins in the A final clinched the victory for Chris Grainger, his first UK national victory for over a year and half. Elliot Harper was second for Schumacher and Andy Moore completed the podium.

In the 13.5T stock class it was Zak Finlay that once again that took the victory, but it wasn’t the dominant performance we saw at round one at Cotswolds. Zak had to settle for third on the grid behind pole man Glenn Westwood and the Team Associated of Mark Wallace, but after the three leg finals it was the reigning champion that emerged on top, and with two wins from two round, Zak is looking good to retain his UK title.
